The Scorch Trials, Sequel to Maze Runner, Gets September 2015 Release Date

Yesterday, September 21st 2014, 20th Century Fox has officialy announced The Scorch Trials release date. The Scorch Trials is a sequel to the strong 32.5 Million-dollar debut movie opened this weekend, The Maze Runner. This sequel will hit theaters September 18th, 2015.

Earlier this month, The Maze Runner series' director, Wes Ball, has talked that the sequel was beginning its pre-production stage:
We’ve got stages, we’ve got crews coming in, Dylan [O’Brien] will be back in a few weeks, we’re building sets, and the script is being written. It’s a bit of a race this time because we’re cautiously optimistic, but we’re feeling excited we’re about to do something that’s way more sophisticated, way more grown up, and really set up a saga here.
